About us and our data
Who we are
SchoolRadar SG (选校雷达) is an independent site run by a Singapore resident, not a school, tuition centre or agency. It is not affiliated with the Ministry of Education (MOE). We built it because the official cut-off data is spread across many pages and years, and hard to compare when choosing six schools.
Free pages (cut-off tool, score pages, school pages, articles) cover all 147 secondary schools. The paid personalised report adds distance and travel time from your home and ranks six choices; it uses the same data and rules described below.
Where the data comes from
- 2025 cut-off points: taken school by school from MOE SchoolFinder.
- 2024 and 2023 cut-off points: MOE SchoolFinder only shows the latest year, so earlier years come from Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) snapshots of the official MOE SchoolFinder pages, 122 schools per year. Schools without a snapshot (17 in 2024, 12 in 2023) use figures compiled by third-party education providers and are marked * on school pages.
- School information, subjects, CCAs and programmes (ALP, LLP, special programmes): data.gov.sg, MOE's open datasets (2026 edition).
- Affiliated junior colleges: MOE's published JC affiliations (47 pairs).
- National awards: NSG national top-4 results from official SSSC results (2023–2025, compiled by sgschoolkaki.com); SYF Distinction and uniformed-group Gold awards as reported on school websites, each with its source link.
- Chinese school names: MOE's bilingual press-release annexes and school websites; schools without a reliable source are left blank rather than translated.
- Religious affiliation: the school's founding body (Catholic, Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian or Buddhist), shown as information only; Secondary 1 posting does not consider religion.
How we checked it
- Where the official snapshots and third-party figures overlap (659 cut-offs), 650 matched; for the 9 that differed we use the official figure.
- Known corrections: Raffles Institution, Hwa Chong, St. Joseph's Institution and ACS (Independent) are listed as co-ed in government data because their junior college sections are co-ed; their Secondary 1 intake is boys only, so we treat them as boys' schools. Merged schools (2022–2025) are shown under the merged name with a note.
- If you spot an error, email us and we will check it against the official source.
How reach, match and safe are worked out
- A cut-off point is the PSLE score of the last student admitted, using the non-affiliated figure. Smaller is harder.
- Reach: the latest cut-off is 1–2 points better than your score, or exactly your score if you are not a Singapore Citizen (citizens win ties). Match: you meet the latest cut-off. Safe: at least 1 point better than every recorded cut-off, or the school had vacancies. Schools more than 4 points easier than your score are listed as "very safe" but not recommended as one of six choices, because they waste a choice.
- Posting Groups and subject levels follow MOE's Full Subject-Based Banding rules: AL 4–20 → PG3, 21–22 → PG3 or PG2, 23–24 → PG2, 25 → PG2 or PG1, 26–30 → PG1.
- Cut-offs change every year with the size of the cohort and the choices families make. Our pages show what happened in past years; they cannot guarantee admission.
How often it is updated
Data last updated: 2026-10. MOE publishes new cut-offs after Secondary 1 posting results in mid to late December; we update the site after that, and add the new PSLE cohort size when MOE announces it in late November.
