Before choosing a single-sex school
- Your child's temperament: some children are more at ease in a single-sex setting; others do better in a co-ed one.
- Affiliations: many mission girls' and boys' schools have affiliated primary schools and junior colleges. Students from affiliated primary schools get priority, so non-affiliated applicants should read the non-affiliated cut-off. See JC affiliations.
- Distance: there are few single-sex schools and they are unevenly spread, so commute time matters.
